SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE: CY) has been named to BusinessWeek magazine's InfoTech 100 list of top-performing global technology companies. Cypress ranked No. 44 on the index, which rated approximately 800 publicly traded technology companies on four areas of financial performance over the past four quarters: total revenues, revenue growth percentage, return on equity and shareholder return.
Cypress is the highest rated U.S.-based semiconductor company on the list, and one of only 33 American companies to make the list this year.
Cypress's revenue for the 12 months ending Q108 grew 43 percent to $1.696 billion, growing faster than five of the top 10 companies in the overall BusinessWeek ranking, including Amazon.com and Apple. Cypress also outperformed nearly half of the top-20 companies in shareholder return.
