Canaccord Genuity on Technology/Hardware: Valley Tour: Sell-off Overdone
Analyst, Bobby Burleson, said, "We visited Silicon Valley-based semiconductor companies in our coverage universe last week and found that, although there are pockets of disappointing demand (PCs, wireline), orders broadly continue to track to expectations while smartphones and tablets are setting up for strong H2 seasonality."
"Our top picks to own following May's sell-off are AMD (NYSE: AMD) (share gains in servers and notebooks offsetting slow PC demand), Broadcom (Nasdaq: BRCM) (leverage to entry-level smartphones and tablets, holding share in high-end connectivity), Integrated Device (Nasdaq: IDTI) (stable core business, new product H2 ramp, underappreciated accretion on PLXT deal), and Marvell (Nasdaq: MRVL) (500G ramp, fading RIMM headwind, ramping TD demand."
