Equifax, Inc. (EFX) Tops Q2 EPS by 2c; Guides In-Line

Equifax, Inc. (NYSE: EFX) reported Q2 EPS of $0.96, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.94. Revenue for the quarter came in at $613.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $616.03 million.

Equifax, Inc. sees Q3 2014 EPS of $0.96-$0.99, versus the consensus of $0.98. Equifax, Inc. sees Q3 2014 revenue of $620-625 million, versus the consensus of $620.97 million.

Equifax, Inc. sees FY2014 EPS of $3.83-$3.91, versus the consensus of $3.84. Equifax, Inc. sees FY2014 revenue of $2.44-2.465 billion, versus the consensus of $2.45 billion.

"Our second quarter performance was very strong and above our guidance due primarily to continued strong execution on our key strategic initiatives. For the quarter, the mortgage market headwind was consistent with our expectation," said Richard F. Smith, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Equifax. "Given our strong, first half performance and the abating mortgage headwinds, our full year outlook for 2014 has improved."
