Tesla (TSLA) Puts First Model X on Display in Palo Alto Showroom
Tesla Motors (Nasdaq: TSLA) has found some success recently with its Model S sedan. But, like its investors, the company hasn't stopped looking toward the future.
Mercury News said that Tesla showed-off its Model X SUV, which should go into production next year. An event was held recently at its Palo Alto, CA, store, which is about one mile from Standford University and three from Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) headquarters, right in the middle of Silicon Valley.
To-date, Tesla said it has received about 6,000 orders for the Model X. Customers can put down $5,000 for the standard version or $40,000 for the

Signatureversion. Deliveries are expected to begin and market speculation has the Model X pricing in a range of $70,000 to $90,000, just a little richer than the Model S base price.
