Occidental Petroleum releases Q2 2026 earnings considerations

Occidental Petroleum (NYSE: OXY) has released a preliminary summary of earnings considerations for the second quarter of 2026, according to a company statement.

The company reported average diluted shares outstanding of 1,012.2 million for the quarter. Crude oil collar settlements negatively impacted operating cash flow before working capital by $156 million during the period.

For the three months ended June 30, 2026, Occidental's average realized oil price was $96.93 per barrel in the United States and $95.83 per barrel internationally, bringing the total worldwide average to $96.78 per barrel. The WTI index averaged $92.79 per barrel and Brent averaged $97.06 per barrel during the same period.

Natural gas realizations in the United States came in at -$1.48 per Mcf, while international natural gas averaged $1.95 per Mcf, for a total worldwide average of -$0.80 per Mcf. The NYMEX gas index averaged $2.89 per Mcf. Domestic natural gas realizations represented -51% of the average NYMEX price.

NGL prices averaged $23.79 per barrel in the United States and $33.49 per barrel internationally, for a worldwide average of $24.64 per barrel, representing 27% of the average WTI price.

The company noted the summary is preliminary, subject to finalization of its financial reporting process, and is not a comprehensive estimate of second quarter 2026 earnings.
