Ford plans seven new vehicles for Europe by 2029
Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) announced plans to launch seven new vehicles in Europe by the end of 2029, including five passenger vehicles and two commercial models, according to a company statement.
The automaker outlined its European strategy at a dealer gathering in Salzburg, Austria. Ford Pro, the company's commercial vehicle division, will introduce the Ranger Super Duty pickup truck and Transit City electric van. The Ranger Super Duty offers a combined payload and towing capacity of 8 tonnes and can tow up to 4.5 tonnes.
For passenger vehicles, Ford plans to launch five new models made in Europe for European markets. These include a new member of the Bronco family to be produced at Ford's Valencia, Spain plant starting in 2028, an electric hatch vehicle, a small electric SUV, and two multi-energy crossover models.
"Ford Pro is the backbone of our European business," said Jim Baumbick, President of Ford in Europe. "We don't just sell vans and pickups, we deliver an integrated ecosystem of vehicles, software and services."
Ford reported that worldwide paid software subscriptions increased 30 percent to 879,000 in the first quarter of 2026, with gross margins above 50 percent. The company targets generating 25 percent of Ford Pro earnings before interest and taxes from software and services.
Ford Pro has been Europe's commercial vehicle market leader for 11 consecutive years based on S&P Global Mobility sales data. The company operates connected services for more than 1.2 million European customers, generating approximately six million vehicle health signals daily.
The announcement coincides with Ford's launch of its "Ready-Set-Ford" global brand platform, focusing on work capabilities, performance, and off-road adventure segments.
