Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) confirms that the Model 3 will price at $35,000 without including tax incentives, according to Bloomberg. The company said that the Model 3 could cost as low as $25,000 including incentives.

UPDATE - Tesla spokeswoman Khobi Brooklyn confirmed the $35,000 price tag today.

Bloomberg New Energy Finance sees the average cost of the Model 3 at around $31,000.

The base incentive is the $7,500 federal income tax credit, which is available to everyone in the country, and state-based incentives can further reduce the Model 3 price.

Market watchers will likely be relieved after some speculation that the Model 3 pricing would be in doubt after the Model X priced starting at over $80,000, which was above analyst expectations.

Shares of Tesla are up 1.7 percent. The company will report Q4 results after markets close on Wednesday.
