Lam Research (LRCX) Q1 Results: Strong Semiconductor Demand Results in an 'Impressive Beat and Raise'
April 22, 2021 8:06 AM EDTLam Research (NASDAQ: LRCX) reported better-than-expected Q1 results amid strong demand for semiconductor equipment. The California-based company made a profit of $7.49 per share to exceed the $6.60 expected from the Street.
While market analysts were expecting LRCX to report sales of $3.69 billion, the company saw a quarter with $3.85 in generated revenues. On a YoY basis, earnings exploded 88% while sales climbed 54%.
"Lam's growth trajectory continues with record revenue and earnings per share delivered in the March quarter," Chief Executive Tim Archer said in a news release.
