BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE: RF) today announced earnings for the third quarter ended September 30, 2019. The company reported net income from continuing operations available to common shareholders of $385 million, an increase of 9 percent compared to the third quarter of 2018. Earnings per diluted share from continuing operations were $0.39, a 22 percent increase. Total revenue grew 2 percent while pre-tax pre-provision income(1) increased 16 percent over the prior year.
