Nokia Siemens Networks -- a joint venture of Nokia Oyj (NYSE: NOK) and Siemens AG (NYSE: SI) -- is planning to shutter is Bruchsal site, according to the company via emailed statement to Bloomberg.
The Bruchsal site employs about 650 employees. Nokia Siemens wants it closed "as soon as possible.
Reasoning is that Bruchsal production is focused on parts it no longer deems "part of the core business."
