Apple (Nasdaq: APPL) is planning to allow Chinese regulators to security inspections as it looks to calm speculation that the company's devices are being used to gather information for foreign governments.
AppleInsider said that China's State Internet Information Office will conduct the network safety inspections on iOS-equipped products.
Apple CEO Tim Cook met with State Internet Information Office head Lu Wei last month. In part, Cook assured Lu that there were no back doors
to its products and there never will be.
