VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 01/31/18 -- Africa Oil Corp. ("Africa Oil", "AOC" or the "Company") (TSX: AOI)(OMX: AOI) reports the following in accordance with the Swedish Financial Instruments Trading Act:

As a result of the exercise of employee stock options from January 1, 2018 to date, the number of issued and outstanding shares of the Company has increased to 456,621,074 common shares with voting rights as at January 31, 2018.
