Nothing makes a vacation quite like a nice hotel. Whether you’re vacationing on the beach or at a ski resort, if your hotel isn’t top-notch, you’ll feel like you never went away at all. Sure, there are some vacations where a cheap motel will do, but if you want to really get away, a fancy hotel is the key.

On this list, you’ll see some of the most expensive hotels in the world. These rooms cost thousands upon thousands of dollars a night, which is a bit pricier than lodgings you’d find at the Super 8. Take a look and prepare to be wowed by the luxurious rooms on this list.

1. Empathy Suite, Palms Casino Resort

Cost per night: $100,000*
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

The Palms Casino Resort is one of Las Vegas’ most famous hotels (and that’s coming from a region with a lot of hotels). The Resort has 703 rooms, but only one Empathy Suite. The Sky Villa sleeps four guests and has two king beds and 9,000 square feet of space. Designed by Damien Hirst, the Empathy Suite is truly a masterpiece.
