Dubai has built a name for itself as one of the most luxurious places in the world to live. From sleek sports cars to lavish gold-encrusted toilets and beyond, the Emiratis know how to live life to the fullest. Everything is done to the absolute maximum in Dubai – including the not-so-humble abodes of the country’s elite.

Whether they’re located miles out to sea on a giant man-made island or high above the city with views of one of the most incredible skylines in the world, there are multi-million villas, penthouses, and condos everywhere in Dubai. Here’s a look at some of those elaborately designed exquisite properties that have it all, except, in some cases, land access for the FedEx delivery person.

1. Floating Seahorse Villa

Year Built: 2020
Estimated Market Value: $3 Million*
Architect: Kleindienst Group

The underwater section of the floating seahorse villas is composed of a reinforced concrete box with windows on either side that provide full views of the underwater world around the semi-aquatic home. In this lower level, there are two bedrooms (each with its own en suite). The water level section has a complete kitchen that can be concealed with fold-out panels, a dining area, and a washroom facility.

A jacuzzi and large terrace await the seahorse’s residents on the floating home’s upper level, but that’s not all. With one of these villas, noisy neighbors will quickly become a thing of the past — traded in for the soothing sounds of the waves crashing against the front patio.

2. New Living on Water

Year Built: 2017I -2018
Estimated Market Value: Unknown
Architect: Unknown

These stunning homes were brought to Dubai by a Dutch company aptly named New Living on Water (NLW). Their first project in the Middle East, they expect to bring in about $150 million total from home sales alone.

NLW aimed to create homes that were both environmentally friendly and beautiful, with an emphasis on privacy for their inhabitants, despite being in a large city. The market for these might be narrow, but a lucky few million- and billionaires will no doubt snatch these homes off the market in no time.

3. Duplex, Six Senses Residences

Year Built: Unknown
Estimated Market Value: $7.7 Million*
Architect: Select Group

If you’re living in Dubai and have been successful enough in life to reside in one of Dubai’s fabulous neighborhoods, the Six Senses Residences on the world-famous Palm Jumeirah is not a bad place to start. This Sky Villa is a duplex with a built-up area that covers 6,196-square-feet and has almost everything you’d ever need.

The open-plan lounge and infinity pool are typical of most villas built in Dubai these days, but the villa’s concealed second kitchen is not. Residents of the Six Senses community are also entitled to access to the Six Senses Hotel’s restaurant, bar, and spa.

4. Emirates Hills Supermansion

Its conceptual design shows a masterful rooftop with an end-to-end patio and an infinity pool in the center. The mansion’s enclosed front courtyard will be wonderfully landscaped and fitted with fountains that line the driveway where an assortment of Bugattis, Ferraris, and other high-end luxury vehicles will most likely be kept.

5. Penthouse, Dubai Canal

Included in the many amenities that this 15,220-square-foot flat will offer is a formal dining room — that will seat ten comfortably and a rooftop terrace with a seating area and a swimming pool. The 6-bedroom penthouse will even have a private elevator that’s only accessible by the owner (and security, of course).

Depending on the time of year, residents of the Ritz Carlton’s Sky Mansion will be able to spot several exotic birds in the nearby Ras Al Khor nature reserve — which can be seen from one of the mansions encompassing floor-to-ceiling windows.

There are six bedrooms and an astonishing thirteen washrooms within the walls of this 13,578-square-foot ultra-modern villa. Unique to this Frond N masterpiece is a rooftop gym with encompassing glass walls that provide dreamlike views of one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Residents of the Volante have full access to the complex’s spa and fitness center. However, it’s doubtful that there will be much time for those things while entertaining guests in the beautifully built infinity pool or singing songs and roasting marshmallows by the dancing flames of the sunken fire pit outback.

The Cavalli Tower project at the Dubai Marina was launched in 2018 and will have 485 units over seventy floors. When it’s completed in 2025, the Cavalli Tower will be near the top of the list of DAMAC Properties’ largest and most daring undertaking to date.

Several villas will be on the tower’s upper floors, just like this 6,501-square-foot paradise pad in the sky. The 5-bed, 6-bath penthouse is close enough to the downtown promenade that everything you need should be within walking distance. The Cavalli Tower will have an in-house fitness center and spa, a 24-hour concierge, and a resort-style pool bar.

The 16.5-foot ceilings of the entertainment and living areas give the abode a royal feel. However, a few minutes of staring off into the horizon from one of the duplex penthouse’s two terraces should do the trick when trying to remain humble.

Much like Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, the Dubai Hills Estate, one of the wealthiest communities in Dubai, is located on the ‘outskirts’ of the city. The neighborhood is often referred to as “millionaire’s row,” and after a brief tour, the nickname will become quite clear.
