In America, it is expected that you tip if you go to a restaurant, no matter whether you are eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Tipping is a sign that you appreciated the service, and the standard rate is anywhere from 15% to 25%, depending on your personal preference and experience at the venue.

While it’s not common to tip at fast-food joints like McDonald’s, it is expected at sit-down places. Celebrities aren’t immune to this etiquette rule, and the Hollywood stars on this list take tipping above and beyond, often leaving gratuities well beyond their total bill. Read through to see which celebs are reportedly great tippers.

1. Donnie Wahlberg

Location: Marshland Restaurants and Bakery
Cost Of Receipt: $35*
Tip Added: $2,020*

Actor Donnie Wahlberg is well-known for leaving major tips, and he has a reputation for being a generous Hollywood star. The Blue Bloods veteran left a $2,020 tip when he visited Marshland Restaurants and Bakery. The restaurant was thrilled with Wahlberg’s participation in the “2020 Tip Challenge,” and they posted the receipt on Twitter.

The #2020TipChallenge wanted to motivate people to tip waitstaff, as they were hit hard by the events of that year. Wahlberg didn’t just tip during the challenge, however. A few months before that, he left a $2,000 tip and, in 2017, he left another one at a restaurant.

2. Russell Crowe

Location: Carew Inn
Cost Of Receipt: $313*
Tip Added: $783*

Russell Crowe is known for playing action stars (and sometimes villains) in Hollywood movies, and he is a consistent moneymaker at the box office. Apparently, he behaves heroically in real life. When he and nine of his friends went to Wales’ Carew Inn in 2009, Crowe left a huge tip.

He and his friends dined on chicken and mussels, and the total bill came to around $313. In addition to that hefty dinner check, Crowe added on a $783 gratuity for his waiters. He and his friends also brought out their inner American Idol talents, singing karaoke for the waitstaff and other patrons.

3. Naomi Campbell

Location: Whisky Mist Bar
Cost Of Receipt: Unknown
Tip Added: $9,200*

Supermodel Naomi Campbell is famous for being one of the greatest supermodels of all time. Though she has a reputation for getting fired up and throwing phones, she is a good tipper and quite generous. She and Cameron Diaz, star of many 2000s rom-coms, were having dinner in London.

After dinner, the two hit up the Whisky Mist bar to have a few drinks. When their girls’ evening ended, Campbell left her waitress a $9,200 tip. The waitress who waited on them was “shocked,” according to Metro. She didn’t know what to say or think, as she was so “stunned” by the generous gesture.

4. Amy Schumer

Location: Peter’s Clam Bar
Cost Of Receipt: $49.00*
Tip Added: $500.00*

Amy Schumer used to work as a server, so it is no surprise that the actress and comedienne is a great tipper. She remembers the struggles that come with dealing with customers and remaining on your feet all day.

When the Hulu star went to a Long Island restaurant called Peter’s Clam Bar, she proved she wasn’t just funny—she also has a heart of gold. She left a $500 tip on her $49 bill after she learned that Ryan, her server, was a student who was working two jobs to pay for his education. Though she only ordered soup and some appetizers, her massive tip showed solidarity with the young waiter.

5. John Travolta

Tip Added: $100*

John Travolta is an actor and singer with a net worth of $250 million, thanks to his iconic, famous appearances in movies like Pulp Fiction, Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Hairspray, and more. Usually, gratuities are expected to be about 20%. In 2012, Travolta far exceeded that, leaving a $100 tip on a bill of $382.69. While most people would have left around $76, the veteran Hollywood star went above and beyond for his server.

6. Taylor Swift

Tip Added: $1,500*

Taylor Swift has been nicknamed “America’s Sweetheart” because of how consistently nice she is, and she proved that she deserves that moniker when she and her friends went to a restaurant in Philadelphia. They took a seat at Ralph’s Italian Market for a late-night dinner.

This was in 2013, so Swift was only 23. Shunning the reputation that younger people are terrible tippers, Swift dropped a $500 tip on her $800 check. Word got around to the “Swifties” about the generous gift, even though the “All Too Well” singer never posted about the tip on Instagram or any other social media site.

7. Charlize Theron

Location: Hollywood PinkBerry
Cost Of Receipt: $4*
Tip Added: $100*

Celebrities—they’re just like us! In 2014, Charlize Theron stopped inside the Hollywood PinkBerry store because she was craving something sweet. However, there was one problem—she forgot her wallet. An hour later, the starlet, who is famous for her theater blockbusters and Netflix movies, returned with a $100 bill. The PinkBerry receipt was just $4, meaning that Theron left a $96 tip to thank the employees for being understanding about her wallet mistake.

8. Chrissy Teigen

The Outback Steakhouse waitress said that she used the extra cash to fix her car, and she also shared some of it with her fellow waitstaff. Teigen was in town with John Legend and their kids to watch a high school football game, as her husband is originally from the Ohio area.

9. Post Malone

Wahlberg was thrilled that Selleck picked up the challenge, tweeting that he “found out” his “TV dad…generously accepted” the tipping endeavor. He finished off the tweet with a “Love ya dad.” Selleck and Wahlberg are both great examples of how being rich doesn’t mean you can’t be generous.

However, he paid nearly double that, thanks to a 70% tip. He put down $700 for his waiter or waitress, no doubt making their night. It’s a relief to know that one of Hollywood’s most venerated, beloved actors is also courteous to waitstaff.

A server named Yahya posted a picture of the receipt, saying “Big ups to Harry Styles for taking care of Mister Big Life.” Yahya praised Donnie Wahlberg, saying that his challenge got a “worldwide response” al the way from the Virgin Islands. This is nothing new for Styles, who has a long reputation of being one of show business’ nicest celebs.

13. Charles Barkley

Barkley told Conan O’Brien on his talk show in 2014 that he believed it was “important” if you’re “successful” to tip well. He continued with a tale of his own of good tipping, explaining that he once won $700,000 in a blackjack game. To show his appreciation for the dealer, he tipped him $25,000, an amount that Barkley lamented “should have [been] more.”

14. Shaquille O’Neal

He always tells servers, “The quicker I get my order,” the more of a tip they will get. The food comes fast, and Shaq makes good on his word. One time, a woman asked for $4,000 to cover two months’ rent. He said, “Ok, no problem,” and wrote the tip down.
