The British royal family is a constant source of fascination for enthusiasts and collectors. The lavish palaces, endless tours, and occasional headline have kept the British monarchy firmly in the public eye for hundreds of years. With every major event, collectors have been able to add more and more royal products to their collections.

While some pieces of memorabilia are incredibly expensive, others like tea towels and cereal can be found on sites like eBay for a fraction of the cost. When it comes to creating a Meghan and Harry-themed swimsuit or a Kate Middleton statuette, companies don’t hesitate to cash in on the royal buzz. These are the most valuable pieces collectors all over the world are pining for right now.

1. Slice of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Wedding Cake

Original Price: Free for wedding guests
Current Est. Value: $1,285*

It’s quite common for royal couples to spread the love on their wedding day and distribute slices of the wedding cake to staff and other people, but there’s only so much cake to go around. Kate and Will sent out just over 600 slices on their special day back in 2011. Of course, some still exist.

The cake might be inedible now, but the tin and the gone-off slice of dessert could still pay the mortgage for a month or two. At around $1,285 per portion, Kate and Will may as well have handed out hundred-dollar bills instead. It would’ve been cheaper.

2. Princess Diana Double Tag Beanie Baby

Original Price: $5*
Current Est. Value: $47,000*

At the time of Princess Diana’s passing in 1997, Beanie Babies were still incredibly popular. There were Beanie Babies for almost any occasion, including to commemorate the tragic loss of the People’s Princess. It may seem unbelievable, but one of these special bears is rare enough to go for $47,000.

At the time of writing, one Etsy seller is trying to sell one of the small keepsakes stuffed animals, but it has yet to find a new home. At that price, it’s not hard to see why. While we all love a cute bear, the price is a little steep.

3. 1975 Lladro Queen Elizabeth II Glazed Sculpture

Original Price: Unconfirmed
Current Est. Value: $2,799+*

There are numerous figurines of Queen Elizabeth II, but not so many of her riding a horse. Made by Lladro, this item was an extremely limited run with only 250 of them ever made. This particular piece is slightly damaged with a portion of the left foot stirrup missing – however, it’s still worth a lot.

At $2,799, it’s one of the more expensive royal figures out there. It just goes to show that regardless of whether she’s standing, sitting, or riding a horse, there’s a market out there for almost anything when it comes to Queen Elizabeth II and we can only assume it will only rise in value in the future.

4. Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Tins

Original Price: $18*
Current Est. Value: $600*

From cups to tea towels, to plates and beyond – there are thousands of different items out there with Queen Elizabeth II’s face on it. These tins were created by chocolate brand Cadbury many moons ago when Queen Elizabeth II was crowned.

Despite being created in 1953, the tins are in relatively good condition. However, they aren’t all that valuable as they were mass-produced, so there are a fair amount in circulation. Lucky bidders can get their hands on a set on eBay.

5. 1939 Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip Painting

Original Price: Unconfirmed
Current Est. Value: $1,634*

There are plenty of pictures of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, but not all of them are worth a crazy amount of money. In this case, a painting of the royal couple on a 1939 trip to Ottawa is being sold for over $1,600.

That’s a pretty penny, but the painting does have a certain charm to it, even if it is a little on the old side. The background is interesting as we’re used to seeing HRH and the Prince in more formal settings.

6. Princess Diana’s “Travolta Dress”

Original Price: Unconfirmed
Current Est. Value: $354,000*

Princess Diana was famous for her fashion. She broke the mold and often opted to wear dresses that royals wouldn’t have dared to. In 1985 during a visit to the White House, she wore a beautiful off-the-shoulder gown. She was photographed dancing with John Travolta while wearing it, making the dress unforgettable and iconic.

The deep blue velvet number has been sold a few times over the years, but it was most recently sold in 2019 for an incredible $354,000. The dress was first auctioned after Diana’s passing in 1997 to raise $100,000 for charity.

7. Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh’s 1979 Christmas Card

Original Price: 0.50¢*
Current Est. Value
: $659*

There are plenty of items from modern times that have fallen into the possession of others from the Royal Family, but things from decades ago are much rarer. In this case, a 1950s Christmas card shows the Queen and her husband with young King Charles and Princess Anne along with a handwritten note.

This simple piece of paper fetched $659 at auction, so it just goes to show that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Her Majesty probably didn’t realize when signing the card that it would eventually be sold for financial gain one day, but we can’t all afford to shop at Tiffany’s. This certainly would’ve helped.

8. Slice of Fruit Cake From Princess Diana’s Wedding

Original Price: Free for wedding guests
Current Est. Value: $3,300*

When Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981, no one could have predicted what was to come in the years that followed. The wedding itself was such a media circus that any item that has survived is likely worth a pretty penny – including slices of the wedding cake.

Several pieces of the cake saved by guests have gone to auction over the years, fetching anywhere from $1,000 to $3,300. That’s not bad for a moldy slice of traditional fruit cake. While it doesn’t look appetizing, it’s a bit more important than a standard pound cake from Walmart.

9. Kate Middleton Statuette

Original Price: $29.99*
Current Est. Value: $100+*

Kate Middleton is often praised for being kind and likable, but she’s also the future Queen of England and the mother of the future king. That’s a pretty prominent position to have within a monarchy. Whenever Kensington Palace releases snaps of Kate with her kids, it’s a big hit.

However, Royal Doulton took things a little further by turning one photo into a statuette. We can’t say that the figures look exactly like the Duchess and her kids, but we’ve got to give bonus points for effort, even if it isn’t widely available.

10. Princess Diana and Prince Charles Fabric Dolls

Original Price: $20*
Current Est. Value: $200-400*

What’s better than getting to meet Prince Charles and Princess Diana? Having your very own stuffed dolls of them, of course! If the very thought isn’t creepy enough, someone out there thought it was a good idea to create a textile pattern that could be used to create a stuffed fabric doll of the famous couple.

Thankfully, this item is vintage so isn’t available to buy today. You can try searching sites like eBay to get your hands on it, but if you’re that desperate to make your own you might have to wing it. It probably couldn’t turn out worse!

11. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Cereal

Original Price: $50*
Current Est. Value: $150*

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle mania struck again with this unusual product. “Wedding Rings” was a limited edition cereal with a cartoon version of the happy couple on the box. While it’s not exactly a great likeness, we have to give the manufacturer props for trying!

This product is no longer for sale, but it wasn’t cheap when it was still in production. At $50 a box (at the time it was originally produced), it’s an extortionate amount for what’s essentially just another breakfast food. However, the profits did allegedly go to charity which makes it a little sweeter.

12. Prince William and Kate Middleton Pez Dispensers

Original Price: Make-A-Wish Open Auction
Current Est. Value: $13,000*

We’ve heard it said that Prince William and Kate Middleton make a sweet couple, but this product takes it even further. Kate and Will were made into Pez dispensers, putting another new twist on royal memorabilia. Amazingly, one fan paid over $13,000 to get the rare items back in 2011.

That’s an insane amount of money for two pieces of plastic, but all the proceeds went to charity. It just goes to show how much enthusiasts are willing to pay for something that looks like Kate and Will, even if it’s not really all that valuable, to begin with.

13. Princess Diana Statue Figurine

Original Price: $30*
Current Est. Value: $300*

There is an incredible market for royal figurines, especially the ones produced by Royal Doulton. While we don’t know exactly how much this particular figure of Princess Diana sold for, similar items start from $30 on eBay.

For enthusiasts, there could be almost nothing better than having their very own collection of royals. The arrangement possibilities are endless, especially if you happen to purchase a Camilla and a Prince Charles to boot! If you decide to dabble in the world of royal figurines, you might be surprised at just how many different versions there are.

14. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Tea Box

Original Price: $12*
Current Est. Value: $100*

Not only were there swimsuits and cereals with Meg and Harry’s faces on them in 2018, there were also plenty of tea gifts to be had, too. Tea is quintessentially British, so it’s no wonder that plenty of companies jumped on the wagon.

This particular gift showed the entire family on Harry and Meg’s big day, complete with Kate and Will and Prince George and Princess Charlotte. We’re not sure exactly how much it was sold for, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it went for around $100. Much smaller caddies sold for $12 a pop.
