Funko has been making pop culture figurines for over two decades, growing into a very lucrative business. Collectors love to snap up everything from Elvis to Jamie Lannister. When it comes to making bobbleheads, vinyls, and everything in between, this company reigns supreme.

While Funko dolls aren’t actually all that expensive to buy, they can become incredibly valuable over time. Limited edition versions of particular figurines can sometimes be sold for tens of thousands. If you’ve got a collection gathering dust on the shelf, you might want to take note.

1. Glow-in-the-Dark 1970s Elvis Presley

Release Date: 2012
Est. Original Price: $10.75*
Est. Current Value: $2,170*

Elvis fans go wild for anything related to the King, so it’s no surprise that a Funko Pop doll would become a collector’s item. This Glow-in-the-Dark version of 1970’s Elvis Presley was first released back in 2012, but even Elvis would be shaking in his boots to learn just how much it’s worth now.

This little doll is worth an extraordinary $2,170, which isn’t half bad considering how little it cost in the first place. Anyone that bought one then and has kept it in good condition could be sitting on a small goldmine – just check out similar items on eBay!

2. Holographic Darth Maul

San Diego Comic-Con has been partnering up with Funko Pop for some time now to release all sorts of incredible figures that fans go wild for. In 2012, the latest exclusive figure was Holographic Darth Maul. Funko Pop collectors across the world know that one of these is worth some serious cash.

The Disney Star Wars character could bring in upward of $6,390 according to experts. That’s a serious amount of money for something so small, but isn’t that what makes it so incredible? However, the value is going up year on year, so it might be worth holding on.

3. Metallic The Notorious B.I.G.

Release Date: 2011
Est. Original Price: $40*
Est. Current Value: $1,930*

It’s no secret that Christopher Wallace, aka the Notorious B.I.G, was a hip hop sensation. Although he passed away many years ago in 1997 at the tender age of 24, Biggie is still revered as a rap legend with a concrete reputation in the business.

In 2011, Funko released their very own miniature Biggie in metallic. Back then it would have cost fans a meager amount compared to what it’s worth now. You can get your very own Funko Pop of the Warner artist for $1,930. For such a huge icon, that’s not small change.

4. Loki, Marvel Avengers Edition

Release Date: [Year]

Est. Current Value: $1,950*

This particular one can fetch upward of $1,950 at auction, which isn’t half bad. Disney’s Avengers has proven to be a highly lucrative franchise for a variety of companies, not just the House of Mouse. The movie franchise alone has brought in over $22 billion.

5. Metallic Mickey Mouse

Release Date: 2011
Est. Original Price: $40*
Est. Current Value: $1,500*

Mickey Mouse was first invented all the way back in 1928. At the time, it’s highly unlikely that Walt Disney and co. realized just how much this little cartoon character would impact the world. Funko Pop has teamed up with Disney to release over 50 different versions of Mickey, but one, in particular, is worth a pretty penny.

2011’s Metallic Mickey Mouse was released for D23, which is why he’s so special and rare. Only 480 of these tiny guys were made, which explains the $1,500 price tag. You can get many different Mickey Funko’s on sites like Amazon for as little as $10.

6. Clown Dumbo

Release Date: 2013
Est. Original Price: $40*
Est. Current Value: $7,430*

When Disney released Dumbo all the way back in 1941, but the character remained an influential animated elephant. After all, the story of a mother’s love and Dumbo’s different appearance teaches us all a valuable lesson, but for the House of Mouse, it meant slightly more than that.

Dumbo continues to make the company a lot of money. In 2013, Funko Pop released this San Diego Comic-Con exclusive to the masses for around $40 a pop. Amazingly, it could be worth as much as $7,430 today, or possibly less if you’re the lucky bidder on eBay.

7. Apollo Creed Freddy Funko (No Bruises)

Release Date: 2013
Est. Original Price: $35*
Est. Current Value: $5,010*

The movie franchise Rocky bounded onto our screens in 1976, not only introducing us to the titular character but to Apollo Creed, played by Carl Weathers. While Funko Pop isn’t afraid to make different characters, the company does have its own mascot, Freddy Funko.

Different versions of Freddy often appear dressed as different characters, including this Apollo Creed version that hit the market in 2013. Today, it could be worth as much as $5,010. That’s a knockout price for any avid collector. Fans of the franchise might have to save up to get their gloves on one of these, but it’s worth every penny.

Today, the figure is worth almost $4,000. The Disney Star Wars franchise has done remarkably well when it comes to merchandise. In fact, the sale of merchandise actually outdoes the money made from the movies themselves, which is saying something!

10. Venom Freddy Funko

Release Date: 2019
Est. Original Price: $40*
Est. Current Value: $7,500*

Venom has always been an important character in the comic book universe. Some might even argue that the otherworldly entity is better than Spider-Man himself, but that’s a discussion for another time. Venom was brought to a wider audience with 2018’s feature movie of the same name, starring Tom Hardy.

11. Planet Arlia Vegeta

Release Date: 2014
Est. Original Price: $15*
Est. Current Value: $3,500*

Considering this Funko Pop is less than a decade old, it’s amazing that it’s worth as much as it is. But, as we well know, it’s not about age when it comes to Funko. It’s about rarity. Back in 2014, Toy Tokyo in New York teamed up with the brand to release the Planet Arlia Vegeta figure.

Fans of Dragon Ball Z went wild for the doll – and they continue to do so. A signed version has been known to sell for $3,500, but other boxed figures sell for between $2,500 and $3,000. Either way, that’s more money than some people earn in a month.

12. Big Boy Blue Freddy Funko

Release Date: 2019
Est. Original Price: $12.99*
Est. Current Value: $3,980*

In 2019, Freddy Funko decided it was time to put on a costume again, this time dressing up as Big Boy Blue. It might seem like a strange choice, but Funko isn’t exactly known for sticking to the rules. This time, Freddy had black hair as opposed to his trademark red.

As with many limited edition San Diego Comic-Con runs, only 24 pieces were made, making this Big Boy incredibly rare. As a result, collectors have to hunt this version out and pay through the nose, usually spending at least $3,980 to get their paws on this one.

13. Glow-in-the-Dark Count Chocula Freddy Funko

Release Date: 2011
Est. Original Price: $15*
Est. Current Value: $10,000*

In fact, despite the odds, they’re General Mills related. In 2011, the cereal brand teamed up with Funko and San Diego Comic-Con once again to release a line of Count Chocula figurines. The Glow-in-the-Dark version of the famous count can be purchased for a whopping $10,000.

14. Metallic Tony Stark Freddy Funko

Est. Original Price: $20*
Est. Current Value: $3,500*

Fans loved this, but it only grew in value as the years ticked by. Now, this particular Tony Stark figure is worth around $3,500. Considering Iron Man’s tragic fate in Avengers: Endgame, it’s likely to keep growing in value, too. If you spot one of these, it might be worth making the investment!
