In the ever-evolving world of global technology what was groundbreaking one day might very well end up being obsolete a short time later. With that in mind, millions of people around the world have not been deterred from their goals of developing the next revolutionary products that just might change the world.

From seafood that’s 100% plant-based to home fitness equipment that’s powered by our own body energy, the future of technology is looking more energy-efficient and sustainable than ever. Let’s have a look at some of the innovative tech products that have been created in the past year.

1. Mila

Estimated Price: $350*
Purpose: Purify Air

Historically, air purifiers that are made for the home have been big, bulky, loud, and tough to clean. A few years ago, 3 dads, who were living in the smoggy city of Shanghai, put their heads together and birthed the idea of Mila. Mila is a smart air purifier that has its performance tracked through an app and gives a countdown to when the air in a room will reach the desired quality.

Mila is a one-size-fits-all device. Whether a room is 100-square-feet or 400-square-feet, it’ll be able to do what it’s been designed to do – provide clean, breathable, smog-free air. For those who enjoy a cheeky stress smoke every now and then, it also has the ability to cleanse smoke from a room.

2. Paper Shoot Camera

Estimated Price: $120*
Purpose: Creating A Unique Experience

In today’s world a mobile phone is more of a camera than it is a phone, but, lost within the extraordinary photo-taking capabilities of a smartphone is the nostalgia of taking photos with a classic camera. The paper shoot camera has been designed after cameras of old, but with the technology of new.

The Papershoot camera saves photos on an SD card and has four filters to choose from. The phone’s lens is even interchangeable, so, those with an artistic eye are able to capture the image that they’re after. Its switchable case provides consumers with their own unique personalized experiences, and it runs on two rechargeable batteries, making it eco-friendly as well.

3. SAVRpak

Estimated Price: Unknown
Purpose: Food Preservation

During most of 2020 and parts of 2021, as a result of many restaurants being closed to dine-in customers, when wanting to eat something that someone else has cooked, we were given no choice but to order take-away meals, which means a lot of soggy partially cold food was being consumed, or, at least, delivered. A lot of it was probably thrown away. Thanks to SAVRpak, this shouldn’t be an issue for much longer.

One SAVRpak peel & stick square, that’s been stuck to the inside of a takeaway container, is enough to keep food crispier and tastier by stopping condensation through the utilization of thermodynamics. Although it won’t be able to wipe out all of humanity’s $2.6 trillion of annual food waste, the SAVRpak can save $78 billion of it.

4. Tonal

Estimated Price: $2,745*
Purpose: Personal Fitness

Are you tired of going to the fitness center and paying someone for personal training sessions that will be performed in front of a group of complete strangers? With Tonal, and its personalized expert coaching, a brief physical assessment is all that’s needed in order to, automatically, set the resistance that’s ideal for each user’s unique needs.

As the workouts increase, ideally, you’ll get stronger, and to compensate for your increased strength, Tonal adapts and alters each workout as needed. One of the best things about this device is its revolutionary new digital weight, in other words, “hitting the weights” doesn’t mean what it used to because there are no physical weights involved.

5. Ample

Estimated Price: x
Purpose: Charging Electric Cars

An Ample charging station takes up the same amount of space as two car spots in a parking lot. It works on a modular battery swapping program, that is compatible with all electric vehicles, and can be set up all around a city in mere weeks. The charging stations are able to detect where the battery is, and then swap out the drained module for a fully charged one.

The old module is then charged, and, in only 10-minutes, is ready to be swapped into the next vehicle. Ample charging stations are cheaper than other fast-charging stations and almost one-fifth cheaper than petrol. With tech like this, the goal of “getting one billion electric vehicles on the road” is coming closer to fruition every day.

6. UnSpun

Estimated Price: $200*
Purpose: Provided Comfortable Clothes

With the goal of creating unique jeans that are fitted to each individual’s unique measurements and comfort levels, Unspun has incorporated a technology that uses infrared lights to project more than 30,000 dots onto a user’s body to create a digital 3D avatar of them. Consumers then select the “style, fabric, stitch color, waist rise, and leg length combo” that they feel suits them best.

Using Unspun eliminates the need to go into a store, to try on the same pants that dozens of other people have also tried on, because all this can be done at home by using your smartphone. And if they don’t fit properly right away, the cost of any alterations needed is covered by Unspun.

7. ENO SkyLite

Estimated Price: $169.95*

Its microprocessor and algorithm are so advanced that they are able to detect spots that the user isn’t yet able to see themselves, then camouflages them with mineral pigments that are delivered through 120 little “ink-jet nozzles that are thinner than a human hair”, while the Optimising Serum, that contains 5% niacinamide, makes the spots casually fade away before their eyes.
