The wonderful world of online shopping is full of marketplaces, but Wish.com has something that others don’t. The San Francisco-based website is home to some of the strangest products ever to grace the Earth. In fact, Wish has become infamous for its bizarre collections of oddities, from cat sweaters to nose hair trimmers.

Some products shouldn’t be touched with a ten foot pole, while others are surprisingly good deals that beat out competitors like Amazon. Sifting through the trash heap to find the hidden gems is all part of Wish’s clever allure and (frankly genius) marketing strategy. Read on to discover some of the most interesting products the outlet has to offer.

1. Nothing

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $2*
Verdict: Skip it

What do you get the person that has everything? How about Nothing? If you’re sick and tired of trying to figure out what to get for the office secret santa, you could spend $2 on some fancy packaging with literally nothing inside. This hoax gift is kind of genius, even if it is a waste of money.

The teeny tiny print on the packaging reads, “Nothing is precious. Nothing is simple. Nothing is sacred.” Whether Nothing is better than an Amazon gift card is up for debate. Just made sure that the person you buy it for can take a joke!

2. Nose Hair Trimmer

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $2*
Verdict: Buy it

Buying a nose hair trimmer can be a little bit of a minefield. Will the gadaget be too big, or too small? Will it scoop up all the unruly hair that you want it to, or die out after just one use? That’s where Wish steps in.

The average nose hair trimmer will cost you between $7-$10 at stores like Walmart, but Wish has one that’ll do the trick for just $2. What’s more, the reviews are great, with customers saying it’s just the right size. For a price that low, you really can’t go wrong.

3. IT Costume

Average Rating: ⭐⭐
Average Price: $20*
Verdict: Skip it

If you’ve ever looked at Wish, you’ll know that you can get just about anything from the website. From beauty products to clothing, you can get it all – including costumes for spooky season. Only, what you order and what you actually receive could be very different.

One unsuspecting customer ordered a costume that should’ve transformed them into Pennywise from AT&T’s hit 2017 movie, IT. Instead, they got a full body suit with an even scarier built-in mask, complete with a ginger wig that resembles an electrified Chucky doll. If authenticity is what you’re after, you might want to skip this one – as hilarious as it is.

4. LED Toilet Night Light

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $2*
Verdict: Buy it

Going to the toilet at night can be a little bit of a bore, so why not spice it up a little? If you’re sick of fumbling for the light in the en suite or waking up everyone else in the house, you could consider buying one of these handy gadgets.

The little light clips onto the side of the toilet and can be programmed to glow multiple different colors. Kiss goodbye to peeing in the dark and hello to an illuminated light show that will be a midnight treat For just $2, this could be yours.

5. Cat Mask

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $3*
Verdict: Skip it

Cats are sassy little animals, but that’s why we love them so much. We’ve all seen muzzles for dogs, but what about muzzles for our furry felines? Something about this contraption seems completely unnecessary, and yet, people still buy them.

Wish describe them as “An absolute must-have for groomers and pet owners alike” but we’ll have to take a hard pass on this one. There’s probably a reason why you don’t find these in the pet section at Costco. They’re just too strange and unjustifiable to become popular.

6. Surgical Masks

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $9*
Verdict: Buy it

In these strange times, more and more of us are wearing masks wherever we go, so it only makes sense that companies like Wish are selling more of them than ever before. The mask business is huge right now, so how is Wish holding up against the competition?

Surprisingly, really well. For just $9, customers can get a 400-pack of surgical masks. According to the feedback, the quality is good and the shipping is quick, too. It’s a big yes when it comes to these, considering that Amazon are selling packs of 50 for $8.

7. Veneers

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $4*
Verdict: Skip it

There’s a reason why a good set of veneers can cost you upward of $925 per tooth. Good dentistry doesn’t come cheap, so why on Earth would buying a flimsy set of plastic veneers from Wish ever seem like a good idea?

Surprisingly, this product has a 4-star rating on the website, but when you look at the real product it’s an entirely different story. God loves a trier, but there’s no way anyone is going to pull these off as being the real deal. On the flip side, they could make a great joke present.

8. Wireless Phone Charger

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $12*
Verdict: Buy it

Wireless charging is becoming more and more popular, replacing standard plug-in chargers that can easily break or become temperamental. All you have to do in this case is place your cell on the charging pad and go about your day.

However, the usual wireless pads can be a little expensive. In Walmart a similar model to Wish’s version will set you back $49.99. Why spend that when you can get this 5-star rated product for $12 on Wish? Customers say it’s great quality and works exactly as it should. You can’t say fairer than that.

9. Nicolas Cage Pants

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $13*
Verdict: Up for debate

Nicolas Cage has become an internet meme over the past few years, cementing his status as a pop culture icon. What better way to celebrate Nic’s transition from Hollywood A-lister to social media prankster than buying a pair of pants with his face plastered all over it?

Whether it’s a purchase that’s worth $13 is up for debate, but give these to the right person (or just wear them to the gym yourself) and they could be worth every single dime. According to one buyer, the pants are also very comfortable with decent size pockets, so there’s that. You won’t find these in Ralph Lauren’s next collection.

10. USB Storage Drives

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $7*
Verdict: Buy it

USB storage devices aren’t usually all that exciting. They look like pretty standard little plugs that don’t come with any thrills, but what if that could all change? Wish offers up some very impressive models that flip the script on boring office accessories.

For just $7 a pop you could trade out your dull black plastic USB stick for one shaped like a hamburger, an Oreo, or even a sushi roll. Who said working for the man had to be a drag all the time? Amazon also have some kitsch versions for sale, but you’re looking at spending at least $10.

11. Nicolas Cage/Jeff Goldblum Pillow

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $10*
Verdict: Skip it

Throw pillows are the backbone of any home decor, whether they’re scattered across the couch or placed delicately across the bed. While they come in many shapes and sizes, few people realize you can get a mermaid sequin cushion that transforms into a picture of Jeff Goldblum or Nic Cage, depending on which version you buy.

Although avid Goldblum and Cage fans might be heading toward that “Buy” button already, most of us will waste $10 on this novelty gift that will ultimately end up in someone’s attic. You’ve got to admit it’s inventive, though.

12. Jeweled Prom Dress

Average Rating: Unknown
Average Price: Unknown
Verdict: Skip it

Wish sells a lot of clothing, from loungewear to jumpers. They also sell prom dresses, but before you get excited about saving a quick buck, think again. Back in 2017 one unlucky buyer tweeted a picture of herself in a prom dress she bought from the website.

In the advertised photo it looked flawless and elegant, but in reality, it was a bunch of sequins sewn onto flimsy material with some very interesting material strangely placed underneath. When it comes to prom dresses it’s probably best to do it the old-fashioned way and go to a store, even if it’s more expensive.

13. Spy Cameras

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $10*
Verdict: Buy it

Have you ever imagined yourself using the same high-tech gadgets as everyone’s favorite agent, James Bond? While running around town in an Aston Martin DB5 might be disappointingly out of reach, you could still let out your inner spy by buying a secret camera.

Spy Cameras @Sonu / Pinterest.com Spy Cameras @Sonu / Pinterest.com

Wish has all sorts of spy cameras, averaging out at a price of $10. You can pick up a pen with a camera on the top that sits discreetly in your shirt pocket, or buy a clothes peg that will keep watch of your home when you’re not there. Whatever it is, Wish has you covered, 007.

14. Christmas Beard Hanging Ornaments

Average Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Average Price: $5*
Verdict: Up for debate

Beards have become all the rage in the last few years. They were once reserved for a select few that could pull them off, but now they’re everywhere. If you’re a long time beard wearer and are getting a little less attention than usual, there could be a solution.

For just $5 you could rock up to the work Christmas party wearing a beautifully decorated beard adorned with multicolored baubles. Mrs. Claus herself wouldn’t be able to resist the fluffy festiveness. It’s either a cheap way to get laughs or a good way to cement your status as the office nut.
