Veraxa Biotech starts cell line development with ATUM for cancer therapy

Veraxa Biotech (NASDAQ: VRXA) announced it has engaged ATUM, a contract research organization based in Newark, California, to begin cell line development for its lead BiTAC T-cell engager (BiTAC-TCE) program, according to a press release from the Zurich-based company.

ATUM will apply its proprietary Leap-In Transposase technology to generate stable clonal cell lines intended to support chemistry, manufacturing, and controls development, as well as supply material for nonclinical studies. The work is designed to advance Veraxa's lead BiTAC-TCE candidate toward investigational new drug and clinical trial authorization enabling activities.

VERAXA Biotech expands lab space at Heidelberg R&D site

VERAXA Biotech AG (NASDAQ: VRXA) has moved into additional laboratory space at its existing research and development site in Heidelberg, Germany, under a previously signed long-term lease agreement, according to a press release from the Zurich-based company.

The expansion is intended to support planned team additions in the R&D department, the installation of laboratory equipment, and the build-up of infrastructure for planned development activities.
