VERAXA Biotech AG (NASDAQ: VRXA) filed its first patent applications covering its BiTAC technology platforms in the first half of 2026, according to a statement from the Zurich-based company.

The applications cover composition of matter and proprietary payload platforms related to its T cell engager (BiTAC-TCE) and antibody-drug-conjugate (BiTAC-ADC) programs. Additional patents were secured in click chemistry and conjugation technology areas.

The company said its total portfolio now includes more than 50 granted owned or exclusively licensed patents across 14 countries, spanning 26 patent families. Previously granted patents covering auxiliary technology modules have also cleared their opposition period.

VERAXA Biotech AG (NASDAQ: VRXA) held an Extraordinary General Meeting on July 24, 2026, at which shareholders approved all resolutions proposed by the board of directors by more than 99.94% of votes cast. A total of 102,102,301 voting shares, representing 72.20% of the company's total share capital, were represented at the meeting.

The approved resolutions include the introduction of conditional share capital for shareholder options and warrants, the implementation of a capital band through December 31, 2030, and an increase in the maximum number of board members from five to seven.

Veraxa Biotech AG (NASDAQ: VRXA) said it received Scientific Advice from Germany's Paul-Ehrlich-Institute (PEI) regarding the biological rationale and proposed non-clinical development plan for its BiTAC-TCE technology platform.
