United Community Banks completes $2B Navitas sale to Wafra

United Community Banks, Inc. (NYSE: UCB) announced the completion of the sale of its equipment finance business, Navitas Credit Corp. and NLFC Reinsurance Corp., to funds managed by Wafra Inc. for approximately $2.0 billion in cash.

The transaction reflects a 7% premium to the par value of Navitas' loan portfolio. The preliminary purchase price is based on August 28, 2026 financials, with the final price subject to closing adjustments.

GREENVILLE, S.C., Sept. 01, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- United Community Banks, Inc. (NYSE: UCB) (“United”) today announced the completion of the previously announced sale of its equipment finance business, consisting of Navitas Credit Corp. and NLFC Reinsurance Corp. (collectively, “Navitas”), to funds managed by Wafra Inc., acting through Navitas TopCo LLC (“Wafra”) for approximately $2.0 billion in cash1 (the “Transaction”).

United Community Banks, Inc. (NYSE: UCB) has appointed Jeff Beisler-Snell as head of International Banking and Capital Markets, according to a company press release.

Beisler-Snell will lead a new international banking team focused on services including international payments, foreign exchange, trade services, and cross-border treasury needs. The team will work alongside United Community's existing Treasury Management group.

Beisler-Snell brings more than 20 years of experience in international banking, treasury management, foreign exchange, trade finance, and international payments. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, a B.S. in Finance, and professional certifications in treasury management and human resources.

United Community (NYSE: UCB) announced that Tom Speir has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective September 8, according to a press release.

Speir succeeds Jefferson Harralson, who announced his retirement earlier this year. He will be based at the company's headquarters in Greenville, S.C.
