Tomi Environmental Solutions (NASDAQ: TOMZ) announced results from an independent laboratory study showing its SteraMist iHP product reduced Listeria monocytogenes living in biofilm on flat surfaces by an average of more than 7 log, with treated samples measuring at or below the lab's detection limit.

The study also found that lactic acid bacteria, which reduce food shelf life, were reduced by more than 5 log. On hard-to-reach equipment parts such as screws and manifolds, Listeria was reduced by more than 3 log.
