Stellantis vehicle sales jump 10% in Q2 on strong North America demand

Investing.com -- Stellantis said Monday that preliminary second-quarter vehicle sales rose 10% year-on-year to nearly 1.6 million units, driven primarily by strong growth in its North American market.

North American shipments surged 38% to 445,000 units, supported by new or refreshed models including the V8-powered Ram light-duty truck, the new Ram 1500 TRX SRT, the refreshed Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee, and the refreshed Chrysler Pacifica. The continued ramp-up of the all-new Jeep Cherokee and Dodge Charger also contributed to the gains.

Investing.com -- J.P. Morgan on Thursday downgraded Stellantis (BIT:STLAM) (NYSE:STLA) to Neutral from Overweight and nearly halved its price target to €6 from €10, saying the automaker still needs roughly 14 months before cost savings from cheaper component purchases feed through into new model launches slated for 2027-28.

The company’s U.S.-listed shares slipped 1.8% in premarket trading by 07:28 ET (11:28 GMT), while shares in Milan edged lower by 0.8%.
