Analysts at Citi have highlighted a packaging stock that they recommend investors buy, even as the stock plunged over 10% following its Q2 earnings release last week.

The company in question, Silgan Holdings Inc (NYSE: SLGN), delivered solid Q2 earnings and reiterated its guidance for ’26, but the company’s stock nevertheless slid 11.2% after the results were announced.

The company reported second quarter EPS of $0.98, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.96. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.64B versus the consensus estimate of $1.62B.
