Erste Group analyst Hans Engel upgraded Shell Plc. (NYSE: SHEL) from Hold to Buy.

The analyst comments "Shell is currently benefiting disproportionately from the high margins on end products such as diesel, gasoline, and kerosene. Compared to pure-play oil producers, Shell has a highly integrated value chain. Refining capacity is currently operating at full capacity, and the distribution network is very strong. Revenue and profits are rising more sharply this year than those of competitors. The stock’s P/E ratio, however, is lower. We therefore expect the stock’s upward trend to continue."
