Sagimet targets Q4 2026 enrollment for acne drug trial

Sagimet Biosciences Inc. (NASDAQ: SGMT) announced that its AURORA Phase 3 clinical trial of denifanstat, a FASN inhibitor being studied for moderate to severe acne, is on track to begin patient enrollment in the fourth quarter of 2026, according to a company statement.

The Foster City, California-based company said all clinical trial sites have been identified and a contract research organization (CRO) has been retained. Patient screening is expected to begin in October 2026, with the first patient enrollment to follow shortly after.

Sagimet Biosciences Inc. (NASDAQ: SGMT) announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has cleared the company's Investigational New Drug application and issued a "Study May Proceed" letter for a Phase 3 clinical trial of denifanstat in moderate to severe acne.
