Precision Optics gets $1.3M follow-on order from U.S. defense contractor

Precision Optics Corporation (Nasdaq: POCI) announced it received follow-on production orders totaling approximately $1.3 million from an unnamed large U.S. defense contractor, according to a company statement.

The orders support continued production of optical assemblies that Precision Optics has manufactured jointly with the customer since 2018. The Littleton, Mass.-based company said both parties expect to negotiate a long-term manufacturing agreement in the coming months, which would include a structured order framework intended to reduce gaps between orders and support more continuous production.

Precision Optics Corporation (Nasdaq: POCI) has appointed Peter Thier as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, according to a press release from the Littleton, Mass.-based company.

Thier brings more than 30 years of experience in sales, business development, and commercial leadership across the medical technology, life sciences, and advanced product development industries.
