De Tomaso begins V12 engine bench testing with Italtecnica

OIO Group (NASDAQ: OIO) announced a collaboration with Italtecnica Engineering on a bespoke V12 engine programme for De Tomaso automobiles, with prototype bench testing now underway following the completion of the design and engineering phase.

The engine is described as a clean-sheet design, developed without adapting an existing manufacturer's engine architecture. According to the company's press release, the powertrain was engineered specifically for De Tomaso and will undergo durability, calibration, thermal management, and performance testing before moving to vehicle integration.
