Navitas begins U.S. shipments of Gen 5 GaN chips with GlobalFoundries

Navitas Semiconductor (NASDAQ: NVTS) announced that first shipments of its 5th Generation GaNFast gallium nitride technology, manufactured in partnership with GlobalFoundries, are scheduled to begin in September at GlobalFoundries' 200mm GaN-on-silicon facility in Burlington, Vermont.

The two companies announced their long-term strategic partnership in November 2025. Navitas developed its Gen 5 GaNFast field-effect transistors (FETs) and power integrated circuits for production at the Vermont facility.

The initial product family is expected to include 650-volt GaN FETs with RDS(ON) values of 11mΩ, 18mΩ, 50mΩ, 120mΩ, and 150mΩ. According to the companies, first wafers are scheduled to ship in September, internal samples in October,

Navitas Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: NVTS) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Claros, Inc., a power management solutions company developing vertical power delivery (VPD) and integrated voltage regulator (IVR) technology for AI data centers, in a transaction valued at up to approximately $232.8 million.

The deal is structured so that approximately $216.0 million will be paid at closing in a combination of cash and shares of Navitas' Class A common stock, with the remainder paid in stock upon the achievement of certain business milestones during the two years following closing. The share component was priced using a reference price of $12.97,
