Milestone Pharmaceuticals enrolls first Canadian patient in AFib trial

Milestone Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: MIST) announced that the Montreal Heart Institute has enrolled the first Canadian participant in its ReVeRA-301 Phase 3 clinical trial, which is evaluating etripamil nasal spray for the treatment of atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular rate (AFib-RVR).

The Montreal Heart Institute was recently activated as the first Canadian site for the multinational trial, which targets approximately 150 patient events. The study uses the same 70 mg repeat-dose regimen already approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration under the brand name CARDAMYST for the treatment of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) in adults.

Milestone Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: MIST) presented findings from a longitudinal study on paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 on August 30, showing that the heart rhythm disorder burdens patients even between acute episodes.

The study, funded by Milestone Pharmaceuticals, enrolled 247 adults in the United States and United Kingdom with a self-reported PSVT diagnosis and no history of catheter ablation. Participants completed surveys from February 2019 through December 2019. The mean participant age was 52 years, and 72% were female.
