Investing.com -- Beyonce has acquired full ownership of the SirDavis whisky brand after LVMH sold its stake to the American pop star, the French luxury goods company said Monday.

LVMH did not provide additional details about the transaction.

The SirDavis whisky venture was initially established as a partnership between LVMH and Beyonce in 2024. The collaboration followed a pattern of partnerships between fashion companies and celebrities, including LVMH's Armand de Brignac champagne deal with Beyonce's husband Jay-Z.

Luxury stocks: What to expect from Q1 earnings?

As many investors had been expecting a recovery in luxury demand this year, the prevailing global uncertainty has increased anxiety. The luxury sector has seen a sharp de-rating with valuations 15 ppt below the long-term average compared to the market. UBS’ Q1 preview, however, notes there hasn’t really been a demand slowdown in Asia, and firm analysts think investors can expect even modest Q1 beats to result in disproportionate positive impact on share prices.

Discussing what might be expected this Q1, the analysts said, “We continue to expect sequential improvement for most companies, though selectivity remains critical.” The top picks

Hopes of a sustained acceleration in sales growth in Q3 and beyond have driven recovery in the European luxury sector’s relative valuation versus the market, says UBS analysts in its preview into Q3 earnings of stocks in the sector.

The sector is now trading at ~7ppt above its 15-year average, and the firm is expecting “Q3 to see marginal signs of improvement, largely due to easier comparable basis and better trends in ML China.”

With the tougher comp base for U.S. consumers in Q4, the focus will likely be on current trading. However, there is a “travel and arrive” risk in Q4
