Klaviyo opens platform to external AI tools and adds SQL access

Klaviyo (NYSE: KVYO) announced a series of platform updates at its annual customer conference K:BOS in Boston, including opening its software to external AI tools and introducing SQL querying capabilities for marketers.

The company said it is making more than 260 Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools and 490-plus APIs accessible directly from third-party AI systems, including Claude and ChatGPT. The move allows marketers or automated agents to access Klaviyo data and execute tasks without logging into Klaviyo's own interface.

The integration allows marketers to use Klaviyo audience segments — including repeat buyers, cart abandoners, and lapsed customers — to target Connected TV advertising on MNTN. Citi analyst Tyler Radke reiterated a Buy rating and a $36.00 price target on Klaviyo Inc (NYSE: KVYO), according to a statement based on a meeting with the company's co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Ed Hallen, at Citi's Global TMT Conference.

Hallen outlined Klaviyo's product roadmap focused on three areas: enterprise growth, broader customer interactions through its Customer Agent tool, and AI agent optimization via its Composer product. Composer has reached approximately 138,000 users, while customers using three or more products now account for over 20% of annual recurring revenue (ARR), with 40% quarter-over-quarter adoption in Customer Agent.
