In a new report on the Americas Energy and Transition space, Bernstein SocGen presented its extensive electric demand and supply model for the U.S, identified overlooked trends, and made a growth forecast.

The firm expects power demand to rise over 2% CAGR to 2023, with increased demand coming from the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. This will be preceded by an inflection point which marks a move upwards from the previous demand growth trend of 0.3% CAGR seen in the 2010 to 2024 period.

The forecast from Bernstein is well below that from other forecasters. Several electrical TSPs are forecasting over 20%
