International Paper Company (NYSE: IP) confirmed it is evaluating unsolicited inbound inquiries regarding a possible sale of its EMEA Packaging Business and is in discussions with potential bidders, according to a company statement.

Lone Star and Atlas Holdings are separately exploring potential bids for a business unit of International Paper, according to a Financial Times report citing people familiar with the matter.
