Quantum computing to reach $7-10B market by 2030, says BTIG

Investing.com -- BTIG projects quantum computing's first commercial application will be quantum simulation, the same use case physicist Richard Feynman envisioned 40 years ago. The firm expects the industry to grow from approximately $1.75 billion today to $7-10 billion by 2030 and $43-71 billion by 2035.

Quantum computers are designed to model quantum systems, where classical computing becomes exponentially inefficient as particles are added and superposition and entanglement increase complexity. Current machines are already used for analog simulation in areas such as magnetism and phase transitions.

Wedbush analyst Matt Bryson assumes coverage on Infleqtion, Inc (NYSE: INFQ) with a Outperform rating and a price target of $20.00.

The analyst comments "INFQ. We are maintaining our OUTPERFORM rating and our $20 price target, which we derive from our 10 -year DCF using a WACC of approximately 20.5% and a terminal growth rate of 5%. Our price target is comprised of approximately $2.50 of net cash per share and roughly $17.50 per share from the company discounted future cash flows."

Infleqtion names ex-Lockheed Martin fellow as quantum computing SVP

Infleqtion (NYSE: INFQ) has appointed Dr. Joseph Buck as senior vice president of quantum computing systems, effective July 27, 2026. Dr. Buck will lead development of Sqale, the company's neutral-atom quantum computer.

Dr. Buck joins Infleqtion from Lockheed Martin, where he held the position of senior fellow at the Advanced Technology Center. He holds a Ph.D. in physics from the California Institute of Technology, where his doctoral research focused on trapping single neutral atoms inside high-finesse optical cavities. He has spent 23 years building quantum, optical, and photonic systems and has authored more than 60 technical publications.
