UBS analyst Josh Silverstein lowered the price target on Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) to $39.00 (from $40.00) while maintaining a Neutral rating.

The analyst commented, "It was a messy 2Q26 update for HAL, with margin pressure in 2Q26, while the 3Q26 outlook came in 2% below prior Street estimates. The latter we attribute to some temporary headwinds, including higher mobilization costs, which should roll off in 4Q26. Looking past the headwinds, NAM activity should improve further in 2H26 and into 2027, while HAL's recent Middle East contract wins and International growth engines should support the long-term

Freedom Broker analyst Sergey Pigarev upgraded Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) from Sell to Hold with a price target of $37.00 (from $32.00).

The analyst commented: "Halliburton’s (HAL) 2Q26 revenue and adjusted EPS came in ahead of our expectations. The company more than doubled its share repurchases to $208m QoQ. A prolonged conflict in the Middle East should provide a tailwind for Halliburton’s operations in other regions. We raise our target price to $37 per share and upgrade our rating to Hold."

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has awarded Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) a multi-year agreement to support the development of the Ahmadi Innovation Valley (AIV), an upstream research and development center in Kuwait.

The R&D center is intended to support KOC in delivering solutions across brownfield, greenfield, and unconventional fields. The program covers applied research from concept through prototyping, piloting, and commercialization, with digital capabilities including data analysis and artificial intelligence integrated across the full field lifecycle.
