UBS Reiterates Neutral Rating on Halliburton (HAL) on Q3 Earnings Expectations

UBS analyst Josh Silverstein reiterated a Neutral rating and $42.00 price target on Halliburton (NYSE: HAL).

The analyst commented, "We forecast 3Q26 Adj. EBITDA of $1.03Bn, with our segment level forecasts largely playing out in line with the guide. This included higher mobilization costs, as HAL moved frac crews to Saudi Arabia and Argentina during the quarter. In NAM, HAL continues to push frac pricing where it can, and we see at least a modest improvement in activity levels for 2027. Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) has signed memorandums of understanding with Eneva and WESCA to support oil and gas development opportunities in Venezuela, according to a company press release.

Under the agreement with Eneva, a Brazilian integrated energy company and that country's largest private natural gas operator, the two companies will collaborate to identify and pursue development opportunities in Venezuela. The agreement builds on an existing relationship between the companies in Brazil.

The agreement with WESCA covers field evaluation and development planning in Venezuela. Halliburton and WESCA already work together on reservoir understanding and development decisions using digital technologies and subsurface interpretation.

Halliburton wins deepwater contract with Eni in Cyprus

Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) has secured a bundled well construction and completions contract from Eni for the Cronos ultra-deepwater development in Block 6 of the Cyprus Exclusive Economic Zone, according to a company press release.

Under the contract, Halliburton will provide integrated drilling, well construction, automation, and completions services for exploration and development wells. The scope includes drilling fluids, directional drilling, LOGIX automation and remote operations, cementing, surface well testing, and coiled tubing.

Citi analysts commented on the temporary closure of Saudi Arabia's east-west pipeline following a series of drone attacks, noting potential implications for oilfield services companies operating in the region.
