GXO and Exotec deploy robot system for Guess in the Netherlands

GXO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: GXO) and warehouse robotics company Exotec have deployed an automated fulfillment system at GXO's facility in Venlo, Netherlands, to support fashion brand Guess across EMEA and Asia, according to a press release issued Sept. 17, 2026.

The installation uses Exotec's Skypod® system and includes 127 robots, 60,000 rack locations, eight goods-to-person picking stations and 200 meters of conveyor network. The system processes between 40,000 and 70,000 pieces per day and can reach throughput of up to 2,200 order lines per hour during peak periods.

GXO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: GXO) has appointed Balaji Rangaswamy to the newly created role of Chief Information Officer, the company announced. Rangaswamy reports directly to CEO Patrick Kelleher.

The appointment is part of a restructuring of GXO's technology organization into two areas: Foundation and Acceleration. Rangaswamy will lead the Foundation mandate, covering enterprise systems, architecture, information strategy, data governance, cybersecurity, digital resilience and service management. Chief Technology Officer Nizar Trigui will oversee the Acceleration mandate, which includes the expansion of GXO IQ, Agentic AI, Physical AI and robotics.
