The analyst comments "GNRC's formally announced contract with a hyperscaler is a key milestone and enhances visibility to meeting FY28 targets. Details of the agreement are scant beyond linkage to the previously known $600Mn+ notice-to-proceed for 2027 delivery, but multi-year nature of the agreement lends confidence for further growth into 2028. We see further support for our Street-high $6.8Bn FY28 sales estimate and expect capacity expansion to be the next major announcement."

Generac Holdings Inc. (NYSE: GNRC) announced it has signed a global supply agreement with an unnamed hyperscale data center operator to provide backup power generators for the company's data center infrastructure.

The Wisconsin-based power equipment manufacturer said the agreement was awarded following a qualification process that included factory visits, performance reviews, and audits of Generac's vendor base.

"This agreement positions Generac at the heart of supporting essential services and the digital economy," said Aaron Jagdfeld, chairman, president and CEO of Generac. "The successful navigation of this approval process solidifies our position as a top-tier supplier of large megawatt backup power generators."
