EQB Inc. names Vivian Abdelmessih to board, new risk committee chair

EQB Inc. (TSX: EQB) has appointed Vivian Abdelmessih to its Board of Directors and as Chair of the Board's Risk & Capital Committee, effective immediately, according to a company statement.

Abdelmessih has a background in enterprise risk management, capital oversight, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. She currently serves on the First Capital Real Estate Investment Trust Board and the Scientific Games Board, and chairs the Export Development Canada Board. She is also the incoming President and CEO of the Global Risk Institute.

VICI Properties Inc. (NYSE: VICI) has appointed John M. Sullivan as an independent director to its board of directors, expanding the board from seven to eight members, according to a press release from the company.

Sullivan will serve on the board's Compensation Committee and Nominating and Governance Committee.

Sullivan served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited from January 2011 until his retirement in October 2023, a tenure that spanned more than 25 years with the company. Earlier in his career, he held executive positions at Brookfield Properties, Marathon Realty Company Limited, and First Quebec Corporation.
