Empro Group faces Nasdaq delisting after SEC trading suspension

Empro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: EMPG), a Malaysia-based beauty and personal care company, received a Staff Delisting Determination from Nasdaq on July 16, 2026, according to a press release from the company.

Nasdaq cited its discretionary authority under Listing Rule IM-5101-4 as the primary basis for the delisting determination. The rule allows Nasdaq to delist a company when a third party may have engaged in misconduct affecting its securities following an SEC-imposed trading suspension.

Empro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: EMPG) received a delinquency notification from Nasdaq on May 19 for failing to comply with listing requirements due to not filing its annual report on Form 20-F for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025.

The Malaysia-based beauty and personal care company has not met Nasdaq Listing Rule 5250(c)(1), according to the notice. Under Nasdaq regulations, Empro Group has 60 calendar days to submit a compliance plan. If accepted, the company may receive an extension of up to 180 calendar days from the original filing deadline, or until November 11, 2026, to regain compliance.

NASDAQ announced it has halted trading in Empro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: EMPG) pending receipt of additional information requested from the company.

The trading halt follows a Securities and Exchange Commission trading suspension that was in effect from October 9, 2025 through October 22, 2025. The last recorded sale price for Empro Group's ordinary shares was $17.36.

According to NASDAQ's statement, trading will remain halted until Empro Group has fully satisfied the exchange's request for additional information. The company had previously been subject to the SEC trading suspension from 4:00 a.m. on October 9 until 11:59 p.m. on October 22.
