Stephens analyst Mike Scialla lowered the price target on California Resources (NYSE: CRC) to $91.00 (from $93.00) while maintaining a Overweight rating.

The analyst commented: "We are lowering our NAV-based target to $91 from $93 based on CRC's Uinta Basin divestiture after the company announced an agreement to sell the non-core assets to an undisclosed buyer for $90MM. We had assumed a higher value for the properties, which had 1H26 net production of 5 MBoepd. While we view the sale price as modestly disappointing, we note CRC ascribed no value for the assets when

LONG BEACH, Calif., Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- California Resources Corporation (NYSE: CRC) today announced the signing of an agreement to divest its Uinta Basin assets to an undisclosed buyer for total cash consideration of approximately $90 million, subject to customary purchase price adjustments. The transaction further aligns CRC’s portfolio with its California operations and captures additional value from non-core assets acquired through the Berry merger. California Resources completes $63M acquisition of Crimson Midstream

California Resources Corporation (NYSE: CRC) closed its approximately $63 million all-cash acquisition of Crimson Midstream Holdings, LLC from CorEnergy Infrastructure Trust, Inc. on Sept. 1, 2026, according to a company statement.

The California Public Utilities Commission approved the transaction on Aug. 13, 2026. Crimson operates a midstream network that includes pipeline corridors across California.

Francisco Leon, CRC's President and Chief Executive Officer, said the acquisition "will enhance our ability to efficiently deliver California-produced barrels directly to the highest-value markets, while increasing operating flexibility and flow assurance across our portfolio." Leon also noted that Crimson's pipeline corridors add options for longer-term CO2 transportation
