Choice Hotels International (NYSE: CHH) has appointed Dominic Dragisich as President and Chief Executive Officer and to its Board of Directors, effective Aug. 31, 2026, according to a company statement.

Dragisich had served as Interim CEO since May 20, 2026. The board said it conducted a search that evaluated internal and external candidates before selecting him for the permanent role.

Barclays reports U.S. hotel revenue per room up 8.2% in July

Investing.com -- U.S. hotel revenue per available room grew 8.2% year-over-year in July, nearly matching June's 8.4% increase, according to data from Barclays. The growth was driven by a 2.3% rise in occupancy and 5.7% growth in average daily rates.

The performance reflected continued benefits from World Cup-related travel and America250 celebrations, Barclays said. The Luxury segment led overall performance with revenue per available room up 17.7% year-over-year, compared to 15.1% in June, supported by rate growth of 14.5%. The Economy segment also showed positive trends, with revenue per available room accelerating to 3.6% from 3.1% in June.
