BitGo to offer custody and settlement for Marshall Islands onchain bond

BitGo Bank & Trust, National Association, an OCC-regulated digital asset trust bank and subsidiary of BitGo Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: BTGO), announced it will provide qualified custody and off-exchange settlement services for USDM1, a USD-denominated secured sovereign bond issued natively onchain by the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

USDM1 is structured as a fully collateralized bond under New York law, backed 1:1 by U.S. Treasuries. It is available on the Stellar, Ethereum, and Solana blockchain networks. The bond is designed to accrue value daily, with mint and redemption activity executed against live signed price quotes.

BitGo Prime, LLC, a subsidiary of BitGo Holdings (NYSE: BTGO), announced the addition of Virtu Financial (NASDAQ: VIRT) to its global liquidity network for digital asset markets.

BitGo Prime said the partnership is intended to expand liquidity access and execution quality for institutional clients through its single-platform trading service. Client assets are held in custody with BitGo Bank & Trust, National Association, an OCC-chartered digital asset trust bank, or BitGo Europe GmbH, which holds a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation license from the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority.
