The clinical-stage diabetes and obesity company said its management determined that current market conditions were not conducive to an offering on terms favorable to stockholders. No securities were sold in connection with the proposed offering.

Biomea Fusion, Inc. (Nasdaq: BMEA), a clinical-stage diabetes and obesity company based in San Carlos, Calif., announced the commencement of an underwritten public offering of shares of its common stock and pre-funded warrants to purchase shares of its common stock.

The company stated that certain investors may receive pre-funded warrants in lieu of common stock. Biomea also intends to grant the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the total shares of common stock and pre-funded warrants offered.
