Bullish names Thomas Cowan as head of tokenization

Bullish (NYSE: BLSH), a digital asset platform, has appointed Thomas Cowan as Head of Tokenization, according to a company statement. Cowan will lead the firm's tokenization strategy across its exchange infrastructure, market data services, and pending acquisition assets.

Cowan joins from Galaxy, where he led institutional tokenization efforts. His work there included what the company described as Galaxy becoming the first Nasdaq-listed company to tokenize its stock on a major U.S. blockchain, in partnership with Superstate. He also led Galaxy's tokenized liquidity fund partnership with State Street Investment Management, the tokenization of the firm's first collateralized loan obligation, and co-founded Euro

Bullish (NYSE: BLSH), a digital asset exchange platform, reported total trading volume of $50.9 billion for June 2026, according to its monthly metrics release.

Total spot trading volume for the month reached $45.5 billion. Bitcoin spot trading accounted for $26.9 billion, while Ethereum spot volume was $4.9 billion. Stablecoin spot volume came in at $10.8 billion, with other spot assets contributing $2.9 billion.

Options volume was $2.3 billion and perpetual futures volume was $3.1 billion for the month.
