Stoke Therapeutics (Nasdaq: STOK) has appointed Bo Cumbo to its board of directors, the Bedford, Massachusetts-based biotechnology company announced. Concurrently, Edward Kaye, M.D., retired from his board role. Dr. Kaye had served on the board since 2017 and was the company's chief executive officer from 2017 to March 2025. He will continue to advise the board through the transition.

Biogen Inc. (Nasdaq: BIIB) announced the publication of results from a prespecified adolescent subgroup analysis of its Phase 3 VALIANT study evaluating Empaveli (pegcetacoplan) in the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology.

The analysis examined 55 adolescents aged 12 to 17 years with C3 glomerulopathy (C3G) or primary immune complex membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (IC-MPGN). At Week 26, Empaveli-treated patients achieved a 75% relative reduction in proteinuria versus placebo (95% CI: 59%-84%; nominal p<0.001), with reductions observed as early as Week 4.
