On October 23, 2026, the Company and certain subsidiaries filed a motion to intervene in the Delaware Court of Chancery litigation previously brought by HCLP Nominees, L.L.C. (“HCLP”) against Delaware Trust Company.

Beneficient (NASDAQ: BENF) has announced a strategy to eliminate debt and equity interests connected to its former Chief Executive Officer, Brad Heppner, following his May 2026 federal fraud conviction, according to a company press release.

Heppner was convicted on May 7, 2026, of securities fraud, wire fraud, and related charges. The criminal trial revealed evidence that he fraudulently concealed his control of HCLP Nominees, L.L.C. and fabricated debt attributed to that entity.

The company is pursuing a consensual resolution with Heppner ahead of his sentencing, currently scheduled for October 21, 2026. The proposed resolution would include:
