Atossa presents preclinical data on breast cancer drug at ASCO 2026

Atossa Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: ATOS) announced two abstracts featuring its drug candidate (Z)-endoxifen have been accepted for presentation at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting, scheduled for May 29 to June 2 in Chicago.

The first abstract presents preclinical data showing (Z)-endoxifen demonstrated estrogen receptor inhibition across ESR1 mutations associated with endocrine resistance in breast cancer. In laboratory studies using MCF-7 breast cancer cells, the drug reduced estrogen receptor activity to 16-26% of control levels. The compound maintained consistent inhibition across key ESR1 mutations including Y537N, Y537S, and D538G.
