Apple (AAPL) Could Debut 37% Larger iPad in FY14

December 23, 2013 9:27 AM
Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) CEO Tim Cook recently said that the company has big plans for 2014, but could one of those plans be a larger tablet?

Digitimes speculated Monday that Apple might be working on a 12.9-inch version of its iPad tablet, which could debut in October 2014.

Along with expectations for peer Samsung to debut a 12- to 13-inch sized tablet, demand for Ultrabooks is expected to see an impact. The larger iPad will focus on performance and may be a replacement for the 11-inch MacBook Air.

Sources also noted that a larger iPhone might hit the market in May 2014.

Shares of Apple are positive in early trading Monday.
