Wal-Mart Stores (WMT) Tops Q3 EPS by 1c; Adjusts FY13 EPS Outlook
* Walmart U.S. comp sales declined 0.3 percent in the 13-week period ended Oct. 25, 2013. Comp sales for the Neighborhood Market format rose approximately 3.4 percent. Walmart U.S. again gained market share2 in the measured category of "food, consumables and health & wellness/OTC.
* Sam's Club comp sales, without fuel,1 were up 1.1 percent during the 13-week period.
* Walmart International grew net sales to $33.1 billion. On a constant currency basis,1 net sales would have increased 4.1 percent to $34.4 billion.
Guidance:
Sees Q4 2013 EPS of $1.60-$1.70, versus the consensus of $1.69.
Sees FY2013 EPS of $5.11-$5.21, versus prior guidance of $5.1-$5.3 and the consensus of $5.2.
